chocolate chip cookie recipe

Here’s a classic recipe for chocolate chip cookies that yields deliciously soft and chewy cookies:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips

Instructions you need to follow,

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips using a spatula or a wooden spoon.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons or use a cookie scoop to portion out the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Repeat with the remaining cookie dough until all the cookies are baked.
  10. Once the cookies are completely cooled, enjoy them with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage!
