
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup assorted seafood (such as shrimp, squid, and/or clams), cleaned and chopped
- 1 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)
Dipping Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, water, egg, salt, and black pepper until you get a smooth batter.
- Add the assorted seafood and sliced green onions into the batter, and stir to combine.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or a frying pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Pour the batter mixture into the skillet, spreading it out evenly with a spatula to form a pancake that’s about 8-10 inches in diameter.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side, until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the pancake carefully using a spatula, and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.
- If needed, add more vegetable oil around the edges of the pancake to ensure it’s crispy and golden brown.
- Once cooked, transfer the pancake to a serving plate and cut it into small pieces for serving.
For the Dipping Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, sugar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds until well combined.
- Serve the dipping sauce alongside the Haemul Pajeon for dipping.
